Photo real digital art exercise-- projected onto polygons.

Here is what I am doing with my old man/wizard as I complete it. Projecting it onto polygons in Lightwave 3D. Turning off shaders, letting the art dominate the job of lighting/shading. This is actually a quick VFX technique I have in my animation/effects toolbox. WIP! More to come as I complete it. EDIT: color video added for more progress-- Very quick test in After Effects. Now, I just need to actually animate it-- give his face some motion (blinking eyes, etc) and also make the light and shadows on his face change as he turns his head.

I tend to do a bunch of effects and rough renders before I go in and do the final animation-- including flipping the image to see it trough a fresh view. Now I can see what elements I need to incorporate as I add new renders of variations of lights and shading, as well as facial animation.
WIP. More to come.
